Inspired by Called to Account, Torture Team: Called to Account uses as a foundation, Torture Team a piece created by Nicolas Kent, Vanessa Redgrave and Philippe Sands. The piece revisits moments, memos and documents from recent history to illustrate the legal gymnastics at play in the days, months and years after the September 11th attacks. Looking at government memos, interviews and first hand accounts as historical material, the evening examines decisions and events that led to the use of Enhanced Interrogation Techniques on prisoners held in Guantanamo Bay as part of the War on Terror.

Directed by Ashley Tata. Dramaturgy by Meropi Peponides. Performed by  Zachary Clark, Kate Garfield, Matt Hurley, and Vincent Torres.
